Hey, what happened? I thought Woodglue had been muzzled from her pushing of Lance trailers... :?
The OP specifically said he wanted to keep it under 1500 lbs.
The Lance that Woodglue is pushing has a GVWR of 3500 lbs.
Don't pay attention to the details, just push your product...Geesh!
Oops, made a mistake on the OP's tow vehicle!

WoodGlue
dry weight 2200 lbs.

You also might be able to find a 2013 Lance 1274. They're tiny and light and made really well! They also have a dry bath!!

To the OP - I agree with the folks who are mentioning the A Liner. We've seen plenty of them at campgrounds and the owners seem to love them. Good luck in your search. - xteacherExplorerThe Aliner Ranger 10 is only 1200 lb. The Aliner Ranger 12 is still under 1500 lb.
- rockhillmanorExplorer IIThe scamps and Casita'a IMHO are the best small lightweight TT. Versus having to deal with setting up a pop up or trying to stand up in those T@B cans! :B

The 13 ft Deluxe Scamp is Approximate weight 1300-1600
Good luck in your endeavor to find the perfect RV for your family ! :C - Shadow_CatcherExplorerI would be willing to bet that the 1500# is with out trailer brakes. Add a transmission cooler and brakes and you should have more latitude. Check out http://www.livinlite.com/camplite-overview.php

my RPod brochure shows them starting at 2039 lbs.
bumpy - scbwrExplorer IIWe owned three Starcraft popups and werre very pleased with them. When we had problems with our 1989 Starflyer, Starcraft and our local dealer were fantastic in taking care of us. Starcraft is a sister company of Jayco, and I would also consider a Jayco popup. Our third trailer, a 12' box Starstream served us well for ten years!
- JimInMichExplorerThanx for all the advice. Looks like we'll have to go the small pop-up route. The Starflyer 8 seems to be in the weight class I want to be in ( 1200 dry ). And the 2014's can be had for $5000.
A few bucks more and the Forest River Rockwood 1640LTD looks promising as well ( but a couple hundred lbs heavier ).
I did look at the Quicksilvers, too small and more expensive than the larger pop-ups.
