Best Dealer Service for my F250- 6.0 in Chattanooga?

If you've got the 6 liter, your best bet is to trade it in, ASAP! 6.0s are notoriously... crappy. Definitly Fords biggest blemish. Yes, they can be bulletproofed but better hold on to your wallet when you get that bill! You CAN get yours fixed but in the end, itll still be a 6.0. You will never get all the kinks worked out and you will just be awaiting the next break down.

If your looking for a good, cheap truck, get a 7.3L. They've proven themselves a million times over.

Okay I'm personally sick of the 05 Ram bashing, man up and post something, anything as to this PITA truck. A photo would be nice unless your puter skills won't allow it :B I understand it from the older group but gezzzzz a guy your age should be able to post a photo with the cab off a 05 Ram due to repairs :H
Guess I'll start making up my own PSD TV's I have also, but wait that would make me sound a bit dumb. Oh wait, I did do that in 2003. One didn't make it from the dealership to the warehouse to put the flat bed cage on :R The other two weren't to far behind.
I will say this, back then Ford covered warranty repairs which didn't cover down time for rental trucks to keep the business going.

Yep... That's the same number of miles as my 05 had when I traded it. And at 170k miles that truck was in great shape. If I only knew our old farm/diesel truck was going to******out on us, I would had used it as the replacement instead of buying that 05 RAM that's been proven to be one PITA. We currently have two trucks doing the same jobs a 02 Super Duty 7.3 psd and a 05 RAM 5.9 Cummins w/manual tranny. The Super Duty is hands down a better overall truck, and cheaper $$$ to keep running.

The bulk of the techs that were throwing parts at these engines was in the early day's due to a lack of training (Fords fault) and is the major reason a lot of issues didn't get fixed. Some of the private shops have ex Ford techs that received proper training, but when choosing one of these shops how do you know what training did the mechanic received? This is why I only recommend Ford shops using Ford trained techs that only use Ford OEM specific parts. Repairing the 6.0 psd by a experienced Ford trained tech is no longer trivial.

I don't know Rick. Troy has a point. After thousands and thousands of head gaskets and turbo's and injectors and oil pan re-seal jobs the Ford tech's I know got really good at their jobs. :W

I have every reason to trust Ford Techs. Having a repair done 500 miles from home it is better sense to have recourse and warranty support through Ford. I had an unpleasant experience many years ago with a poor repair 600 miles from home and spent a long time to have it resolved. I stay with Ford. I really appreciate the referrals and will follow through with a Ford dealer on Monday. Thanks, Tom :)

And I have to disagree with this. There are plenty of techs out there that far more about how to bullet proof and make better repairs than the Ford dealer.
I would much rather have the improved parts used, it takes the worry out of owning that engine.
