As to the Ram cosmetics you won't be looking at the truck while you are driving it. The Cummins MPG empty and towing should change your mind if fuel mileage is your main concern. The trucks are less money as well.
I drive roughly 33,000 miles a year. ~3,000 of which is towing a 6,500 lbs trailer (wet).
I’m up against it with payload on my 2017 Tahoe and just dont feel as solid as I would like to towing with it. It has a 4” lift on it so maybe that combined with the shorter wheel base just makes those cross winds that much worse. Honestly IDK as it is all I have ever towed with as we are new to this. A buddy of mine has a new F150 with the 3.5 and he is coming over on Sunday and we are going to pull the trailer around a bit to see what it “feels” like.
