Gang - I am trying to put a pencil to my options and as such am trying to figure out what each of the following would get as combined MPG for my spreadsheet.In an effort to compare apples to apples, all will be 2019 models 4x4 Crew Cabs. Assumption is that 80% of miles are highway miles traveling between 60 and 70 MPH. Below are my best guesses based on the research I have done so please edit as you see fit and I will hopefully be able to hone it in from the responses.Sierra 2500HD 6.6 Diesel: 18 MPGSierra 2500HD 6.0 Gas: 12 MPGF150 3.5 EcoBoost Gas: 19 MPGF150 3.0 Diesel: 23 MPGF250 6.2 Gas: 13 MPGF250 6.7 Diesel: 16 MPGAlso, probably a dumb question but would it be safe to assume that the Chevy's will perform very similarly to their GMC cousins? Additionally, I know that I have excluded the Ram's. I'm just not a fan cosmetically. However, I am a fairly practical guy so feel free to include that information if you have first hand experience and so desire.

Since mileage seems to be a big concern you REALLY should consider test driving a Cummins powered RAM.

Just a different way of skinning the cat I guess.

Here is a good website to search real world mileage. Goes by hand calculated numbers not lie-o-meter like most do here. Not 100% accurate, but it is just about the best you are going to get.Fuelly.com

I didn't see if you mentioned it, but keep in mind the Eco-Boost really should get at least mid-grade, if not Premium gas.

But your 19mpg number is about right for the F150 EB. You will probably even see a bit better than that on highway driving on a road trip. But towing... you'll get like 7 :)

You missed a powertrain option: Ford F150 5.0; spec 3:31 gears and it has very good, only needs 87 octane gas mileage. Real world experience over 30k miles:

Highway at 70-75 is 20-21 mpg.
Around town commuting mileage is 15 mpg.
Lifetime average over that 30k split about 50/50 in-town and highway is 17mpg.

This is a well optioned XLT 4x4 Screw.

Even without the MaxTow Package, it is rated to tow 8900 lbs, has just under 2000 pounds of payload capacity, and a GCWR of 14,300lbs.

Ram would be a great choice as well. I’m actually considering one as my next TV. As well as Ford.

Having spent the last hour or so looking at the RAM 2500 online maybe I was bit too critical about her appearance. While she's not the one that I would notice first when walking through the door at the party, to be fair, she's also not an ugly duckling. Maybe she's more the girl next door type who is the life of the "after party" :W

As far as the "less money" I believe that's true. I did a scientific study a few years back at a bar the guys from work and I frequented for happy hour on Fridays. The guys who would never pay for a round, but stayed the entire time sucking down the free ones bought by others, always seemed to be driving Ram trucks LOL.

Ford F-350 7.3. 23.8 empty. 18-19 towing a 19 foot boat. 12-14 towing a travel trailer around 6,500 pounds.

The 3.5 Eco should pull your camper with ease. It probably won't be as good as the heavier trucks in the crosswinds but should be better than the Tahoe. If you're not going to buy a heavier camper in the future then the 3.5 Eco should fit the bill nicely and be better than the heavier trucks when not towing. Typically diesel fuel is more expensive than gas so if fuel cost is a concern then the Eco should win out there too with possibly the exception of the 3.0.
