DH swears by the captain's chairs we have in our Ford. I find them excruciating after about two hours and greatly prefer the bucket seats in my sports car. He needs lower back support, I need better leg support.
One thing I know that helps, regardless of the seat itself: 7 way adjustable seats. He needs a lot of lumbar support with a level bottom, I need to be slightly reclining with the hips lower than the knees. Being able to make these changes easily makes a huge difference.
