Truck bed is best. Mounting ANY genny on the back is asking for issues down the road. All the road crud and rain and everything else will infiltrate the unit and it will fail and knowing HF, you won't be returning t for credit either. keep it in the bed of the truck and keep it protected. None of the generators sold today have waterproof electronics. Keep that in mind.
