Time will tell. Lots of people including myself loved their Rangers ;). I'd love to see it re-introduced.
My understanding is that the global Ranger is a Unibody. I don't know if that is true, but if it is, it would not really go head to head with the Canyon but actually fill a niche for those that don't even need as much pickup as the Canyon. I also think it would be a good idea for Ford to bring a refreshed Ranger to the market. Gas prices will go up and probably with a vengeance, the market will expand for the smaller pickup in my view.
