I am also looking for dually tires. Mine are currently Michelin LTX M/S 235/85R16. I have no need for an off road or winter weather tire. The fronts are 6 years old, the rears are 8. They have none of the cracking issue some here have talked about. Maybe that was after 2008 or so. I understand Michelin is OK with up to 10 year old tires in some circumstances, but mine have two degrading factors: extreme intermittent use and a lot of hot weather interstate use.
When I searched the forums here, I got a little concerned about Michelins and was considering what appears to be a favorite (except in this thread), Bridgestone Duravis R500 HD. It seems people here put the R250 steel cased one on trailers like a Michelin Rib, but are happy with the R500 on tow vehicles.
Any thoughts on where the Duravis R500 is manufactured or if it is a good choice?
thanks,

The ones I have bought are made in Japan. Bridgestone also lists USA. The tires have really come down in price. They're a few dollars more than the Firestone Transforce now.
I would consider the R500 a strictly pavement tire with extremely long wear life.
