Maxxis ST8008 trailer tires at this time has the best reliability performance of the ST trailer tire brands in the last 4-5 years when we look at all the different trailering websites (RV and non RV).
Carlisle has another newly released tire that is supposed to be a better tire....just like their last new tire. Its gonna' take a 3-4 year run before anyone can say their better than the previous Carlisle.
I would go with the tire with a proven record.
There are several of us running the new Carlisle without any issues. At least two of us(myself inclded) have put substantial highway miles on them without issue.
Means nothing as far as a big picture.
There are several rv.net members who have no problems with the old tires and in fact recommend them.
As the Maxxis ST8008 has done in their short history the new Carlisle will have to prove themselves across the entire "trailering world" (RVs and non RVs) and not just a handful users from one websites.
The new RH does look like a winner but so did the other improved next gen Carlisle tires over the years which are still available from Carlisle.
Not quite sure on what that third paragraph is supposed to mean-but the "non-RV word does not come on here and bit** about China Bombs, especially after exceeding their maiximum speed design on the highway....
