Only trouble is, there are no GY Marathons built in USA/Canada/New Zealand anymore.

I wrapped my TT wheels with Marathons as well, mid 2010 but told the dealer that I will only accept tires that had Made in USA on them. 4000 miles and 3 years later, 0 problems.
