At the time it was the same info being spread that GY moved Marathon production to China but then some thought production was moved back to the States. I couldn't believe anything that was being posted here so I went and found out for myself...which ended up being I found newly made USA Marathons. I did a look around at online tire sellers today and they do say Marathons are of China origin, so you may be correct about that now.
Point is, don't rely on a forum alone filled with opinions when you are searching for facts.
