WE AGREE! I am under the firm assumption that excessive speed is the number ONE cause of trailer blowouts. The problem with this theory is that excessive speed causes weakening over time, so it's hard to prove. As an example-you may run over 65mph at 90 degrees ambient temperature for several days, but this combination of speed and heat wouldn't necessarily cause a blowout until much later, even if the ambient temperature has dropped significantly.
