Best Tires for Travel Trailer?

Just this past weekend , we were on our way to Luray Caverns , I pulled into a shopping center next to a Mcdonalds to grab some food . There is a guy with his trailer trying to change a flat , I go over to see if he needs some help . He has basically nothing a cheap little bottle jack and a tiny 4 way lug wrench . I grab my tools and boards and show him some tricks , help him change his tire , I look at the rest of his tires ( yes ST tires ) and another is starting to throw the tread . He is heading for the same campground , so I lend him my spare ( I have 2 ). When we get to the campground I show him my LT tires and explain to him my reasoning in upgrading . He went out and bought two 16 in 6 lug rims and 4 new LT tires while his wife and kids did the caverns . ( couldnt find 4 rims)
I helped him put them on the rear axle . The trailer was a 2009 with the factory tires .
