So the factory ST tires lasted four, maybe five years, right? They were at the end of their useful life anyway, and in spite of the fact they'd evidently lasted as long as designed under who knows what conditions you convinced this guy to replace them with whatever LT tires he could get his hands on?

He was impressed with the quality of the tires on my trailer , couple of hundred dollars for safety and piece of mind , not expensive at all.
I would trust a whatever LT tire , over a ST tire from a company that pays their employees in yen .
Why would anybody buy a tire that only has a useful life of 3 years maybe 5 . Like you said there's A fool born every minute.
