Best towing mirrors

Is it too late to change your order? I kid, I kid. I tried several different strap/slide on mirrors and returned them all. Too much vibration to be useful. I finally got the Mckesh mirrors, which work great but are a hassle to put on and take off. I can't wait for a tow vehicle with built in OEM towing mirrors.

The Lariat level (1 level up from the XLT that I ordered) had the towing mirror package available WITH BLIS. I wonder if I can buy a set of those mirrors and swap them out myself.

I'd look for a set of OE or knock off mirrors. Can't see scanning some 1972 looking mirrors to the finder of a new truck.
I'd ask this question on a F150 forum. Bet there's a solution to include the bliss as well. Otherwise, replacing with towing mirrors is an easy job. Just need to find the right deal. Dealer will probably want $5-800 per mirror!

I have a 2015 and am also trying to add factory tow mirrors. Dealer has them plug and play but way too much money, @ $1700 just for mirrors. CIPA makes a set that will still allow the use of the BLIS, turn signals, puddle lamps and they are a simple slide on. Local dealer let me try a set and bang for the buck, less than $100, they are good, not great. The mirror itself is shorter than the factory mirror and has a vibration at highway speeds. I had difficulty adjusting mirror to avoid seeing the same thing in both mirrors and it made what I was seeing seem to be at two different distances. Made backing so much easier but driving I found myself using the stock mirror and doing the lane wiggle to see down the side of my trailer.

I used the slip on Cipa towing mirrors on my 2008 Yukon XL Denali. They were rock solid, wife even made nice storage bags to keep them in when we were not towing.

I don't have an issue. I just didn't get the towing mirror package and want a good add on towing mirror. Cipa has gotten very good reviews, here and elsewhere.

They may look a little funky, but they do work well and have been time-tested and proven since time began. And amazing, this design has never changed. They are almost identical to the set my Dad had in 1963.

Just noticed, at the top of that page, there is also a door mounted mirror, similar to this one. Check it out too. It might work better for your needs, depending upon the design of your truck.

Actually, this is the one I am leaning toward. The one on the fender, not the one on the door. I am afraid that every time I close the door, the one on the door would need readjusting.

My work truck is a 2012 F-150 with the extendable tow mirrors. They are simply the best mirrors I've ever used on a vehicle by far. They are good enough that I would say the BLIS is not necessary with them. If it's not too late to change your order I would seriously consider making this change.

I had generic mirror extensions on our prior tow vehicle. After having the real Ford towing mirrors I don't think I could go back. I'm sure the cost might seem outrageous, but I hope you at least consider the final solution to begin with. You won't regret it.
