Earlier this week I scraped the side of my TT against a barrier pole at a gas station. The result was a little paint left on the side of the TT. The sides are ABS plastic with a gel coat. What is the best way to remove the paint to do the least damage to the ABS? Thanks a lot.

Polishing compound. It will not harm the gelcoat.

Try some soft scrub or tooth paste , it works on small spots

The whole job took less than 10 minutes. Looking closely and at various angles, I can't tell that there was ever a problem. Thanks again for the help.

A clay bar might also do the trick. Just make sure you use a lubricant with it. If you don't already have one, you will soon find out how great they are for removing bugs, tar, and anything else on your paint without scratching it. I prefer the blue one by Clay Magic.

X2 on the fine rubbing compound. It's the stuff that's white. A little bit on a cloth, rub by hand and buff it off. It will take all of 5 minutes to make it disappear.

Fine rubbing compound. If you have chrome you'd like to polish up, get chrome polishing compound. It will do both jobs for 'ya.
