Putting the stickers for renewed registration on my plates over the weekend, the small tear-away tag of paper your stickers are stapled to has the declaration that if your truck is registered commercial and has a GVWR of over 10,001 lbs, the plate with the tags is affixed to the FRONT bumper, contrary to most of our vehicles in Ca. I should have known this since our company stake beds have the plates on the front but I never applied it to my personal vehicle until reading it Saturday.
For my trip down Highway 395 next week, I'll still put the a plate on the back of my camper but it won't have registration tags. It's how we've traveled for 5 years having the Host through the SW and PNW without problems.
