I have the HJ setup on the front and mine are secured to the frame rails and bed bulkhead both.
I HAD the HJ setup on the back, with the bumper buttons and QR plates but I canned that because when I run off road, camper and bed twist tends to twist the bumper as well so instead of the Tl rear mounts, I took some telescoping schedule 60 tubing and fabbed up a set of rear mounts, welded to the vertical sides of my Class 5 rear receiver hitch. I welded on stub ends with gussets and drilled a through hole to accept a tractor hitch pin (farm store stuff) and the other tube telescopes into the welded on tube and secures with the pin. On the end, I drilled a hole and mounted an eye bolt that I attach my tie down to. Sort of a TL copy without the end plate. I consider it a good design (TL) but easy to fab up if you have the tools, which I do
I think newer Fords and GM's have a through hole in the receiver hitch that you can slide square tubing in and forego any welding to achieve the same result.... I think. Not sure, I have an older trick.
