There are different tie-downs points on campers engineered by the OEM and then the manufacturers of tie-down equipment (pick one) utilizes the pick-up trucks framework, existing holes, factory placement of fuel tanks, and exhaust to determine the lower points of connection(again pick one) for their linkage.
With the small sample size we had of owners, a non-slip mat and all the angle you can get in the front is the best approach. The rear tie-downs keep the camper from hopping.
