The rear ties are recommended to have minimal tension, but they will play big role in case of accident.
We had accident reported here couple weeks ago, when pickup went down freeway shoulder, hit big tree and camper flipped over crashing the truck cab.
Not something we normally want to think about, but should not be neglected.
