I used the HJ on my 03 Dodge and carried an AF 1140 and Lance 1191 with no issues.
HJ are less hassle not having to install the TL tubes and tie downs or chains aren’t as long.
I used the front TL on my SB Ram and Lance 865. They were more vertical and the camper seemed to creep back a little.
Both are good and I would keep the set up you have. If the HJ were installed correctly I’m sure they will work fine.
