- RCMAN46ExplorerOne tough trailer hitch.
It would be fun to try if someone would donate the equipment but I would insist on at least a 5 point safety harness. - rbpruExplorer IIThe accident was obviously caused because the TT manufacturers do not know how to build a reliable product.
Probably caused by those Chinese tire bombs or using to small of a TV etc. etc. etc... - LynnmorExplorerI think it was an IQ test and everyone failed.
- downtheroadExplorerFun video...but I can't understand them. I wish they would speak English....:B
Reminds me of the last time we towed through Seattle... - RedRocket204ExplorerCertainly entertaining and almost as entertaining as Top Gear's Extreme Motorhome Racing - Extreme Motorhome Racing - Top Gear - Series 10 - BBC

Not needed. Both were well inside their tow, and weight rating.
It does show how well those small TT handle though. - Where's the weight police!!
- dodge_guyExplorer IIActually very realistic, because what happened (aside from the racing) is exactly how sway starts and what happens afterward! these guys were going for drama so they didn`t back off, however most new RV`ers also don`t know to back off. so in the end the results are potentially the same!
- DutchmenSportExplorerAgree with the above posts. This is not real world driving.
I do think there is a miss understanding of exactly what trailer "sway" really is. When the driver makes a sudden move, an over correction, the trailer is going to wiggle. THAT is NOT trailer sway. That's just normal reaction of the trailer.
Sway is when the trailer suddenly begins to gyrate violently, like a vibration on steroids. It begins pivoting at the axles. The trailer hitch is violently pushing sideways, back and forth against the tow vehicle hitch, causing he rear end of the tow vehicle to begin shaking back and fort sideways. And this happens when least expected. It's sudden, it's not staged, and there is usually no warning. And if the driver cannot regain control immediately, the gyration of the trailer will cause it to eventually flip as the gyration becomes greater and greater and greater!
Unlike this video, where simple centripetal force, form going too fast around a curve and the vehicle flips over, is all that's happening in THIS video, and also what a lot of folks (think) sway is. - cbshoestringExplorer IIFun to watch.
NOT a real-world "sway control incident caught on camera".
