We must be very fortunate. Our local state park is QUIET all the time, even on major holiday weekends. Everyone is courteous. It would certainly take a lot of fun out of it if we had rude neighbors.
I think three things contribute to our camping experience there...no alcohol allowed in the park, and rangers patrol regularly. Also, the gates are locked at night. No one comes in, no one leaves. Some don't like those rules, but they work real well for us.
I was sitting around the fire Friday evening with my FIL. DW and MIL were out walking with our DS around the CG. I said to FIL, listen, hardly any noise even with the CG almost full.
