We went to Falls Lake State Recreational Area, Holly Point CG. It is only 20 minutes (15 miles) from us. Had a wonderful time. We rented a 27' BH Jayco. This was our first TT experience, having come from a pop-up 2-1/2 years ago.
We love this CG. Sites are huge, heavily wooded, and they have multiple swim beaches at the lake. $25/night, including reservations fee, for water/electric.
Hope to get in a few fall trips there. We bought a '95 Sunnybrook 26DB late last week. We had already committed to renting the TT, and I couldn't have gotten our TT ready in time, so we stayed with the rental. Towed our TT home yesterday afternoon. We have to get it set up with our stuff, but that shouldn't take more than one weekend.
