We are headed out for our annual 'PigRoast' weekend at my sister's farm. There will be about 25 trailer campers, tent campers too numerous to count, and literally hundreds of family, extended family, and friends attending over the course of the 3 day event. It also involves several fund raising events, with all proceeds going to Wounded Warriors. This will be the 42nd consecutive year for the event. Kind of reminds me of a miniature Woodstock...without all the drugs and lewd behavior, of course! :) There will be several dozen musicians also. It's very noisy (all night long!), lots of constant activity...and EVERYONE has their own campfire!
It's so big that the stores in the small town a few a miles away stock a lot of extra supplies for the weekend onslaught. Gonna be a HOT one though.
PS Surprise! Just discovered that my truck plates expire Saturday! Headed for town now to renew!
This sounds like our kind of fun. Do you want to adopt 2 middle aged Canadian family members, LOL
We don't like to camp on long weekends at parks. If it isn't too windy we will take boat out on Lake Ontario for a bit of rainbow and salmon fishing. Last Saturday we spent 10 hours on the lake and it was 29C hot!..
