I learned from watching my Dad to take a step back when you can to look at a problem, or get someones view point that is not involved. I pulled up one day to my Dad's house to look at his new to him VW Vanagon. He was standing behind it with a hammer about to smash out the rear window as the hatch would not close all the way. I managed to stop him and talk him down from smashing and helped to get the hatch open. We reset the lock and watch it close like it was suppose to. He was frustrated, caught up in the issue and unable to see it for what it was.
A second opinion is what a forum like this is good for!
Very true. At work and play. Fairly common for us at work to get a co-worker to look at an issue.
