Just a thought....on my 2002 9.6 I started getting some moisture into the bedroom storage hamper under the escape window on drivers side...found it was the gasket around the escape window letting drips in....it is a sort of tubular rubber and appeared it had became flattened out over time.....I put a small amount of Silicone on the gasket and closed it..never had another problem with it leaking....
Figured I would still be able to push window outwards if I ever needed to.
That tubular rubber is Butyl tape. It is rubbery and sticky as Hell!
My 2000 9.6 has the same window.
