I have a 2012 Ram and Mopar says I can only run B5 bio and nothing higher. Now I am wondering what the other folks who drive the 2010-2012 stock trucks do. I know that some of the Midwest states manda...
Biodiesel gels faster than regular fuel (even with anti-gel additives). There are ways to get around this in cold weather allowing for B20 use, but the fuel system must be designed for it. I feel running B10 in an engine qualified only for B5 in warm weather is fine but would not do it once temperatures drop into the 30's.
It is true that biodiesel has better lubricity. I can even hear the difference between the current low sulfur fuel and B5 in my truck.
