I know it doesn't help now, but in the future when you get it fixed, be more gentle when pulling the handle. I know mine will be very difficult when I initially pull and then it will give way and will come to the stop faster than I can stop pulling. This is what breaks them.
I now have learned to pull hard enough to only barely move the handle outwards. I had to replace both of mine on my last coach and learned this lesson the hard way.
As other have mentioned, any rv store will have what you need even if you have to replace the entire gate as I did.
