Black tank question

Can anyone tell me which manufactures are dumping shower water into black tank. I know some are doing this but it seems to be a big secret. I am getting a new tt in the 24 ft range and would like to avoid this set up.

  • Thanks, I guess what I am asking for is responces from folks who have bought a tt and found out after a few showers that there black was full. I have tt that does that so we never use our shower but some of the places we go do not have showers or at least one I want to us, so the new purchase would be for one that is not plumbed this way. I ask every dealer I go to and they all say never heard of one plumbed like that, it shouldn't be like that, mind don't, ect. I have yet to get one to take a bucket of water out and prove it. So I ask on here for some consumer input. Thanks for the reply.

Depends on individual usage. I had a TT that drained bathroom sink into the black. I replumbed it so it went into the grey. The Black filling up is pretty much my limit of a stay when boondocking.

I would say that you would have to check this out on an individual basis. sometimes it is the bathroom sink that does this. good to get some more water into black tank and less into grey as that is the one that usually gets filled quickly.

Since it is fairly easy to dump the grey tank on the go with just a bucket, I fully agree with you. I would NEVER attempt to dump the black tank into a bucket LOL.
