Here in West Michigan, NADA shows your 2006 3500 LBZ truck's trade-in value of around $17,000 in average condition with engine repaired and truck in average condition if been fixed or engine replaced even higher with 200,000 miles on the truck. Retail value in good condition shows $$21,600. Trucks cost considerably more in Canada new or used. You probably only would have paid about $42,000-$44,000 for it when new here in Michigan but don't what the cost would have been in Canada. 12 years old and 374,000k and still has over 40% value of it's original cost! Try that with a gas same truck! Your fixed truck still has a lot of sales value in the marketplace!
Accurate numbers in US dollars.
I paid 60 Canadian for it.
Been looking on Kijiji. Same truck is selling for in the 20's Cdn. I saw one 07 for 27G! Kinda surprised me. Thought it was worth less than that.
Crate motor is a lot more in Canada. Might find a used LBZ somewhere, couple grand to change it. Then sell it, put $$ towards something newer.
Thinking out loud here, got another week and a half in this CG to salvage some vacation time and decide what I'll do.
All is well! I'm in the RV, good people around me. Life is good. :)
