What do you think you could get for your old one as it is now? Maybe take what you can get for it and throw it to a "new to you" one?
I see your point that the current truck will probably start to nickel and dime you if you fix it.
Or screw it, say it's my birthday and finance a brand new one. Finance it long term for a low as possible interest rate and pay it off as soon as you can by dumping extra payments on it over the term.
