I really don't want the debt again. I remember my $1172. a month payments when I bought it. I know new has warranty and all that but over 80 for a comparable truck? I find that absurd.
It was 12 years ago today that I paid 60 for this truck. But I was 12 years younger, working like a horse and making over 100G a year. It's different now. I'm 64, slowing down and so on.
An engine from a salvage yard is a consideration. Running good, might get 16 for it, maybe... Broken? Who knows? Maybe 8 - 10? Maybe less.
I know a few people at home I may see about swapping the motor out with used.
But if I do, I still want to flog it and upgrade. I need reliability pulling 10,000 pounds of TT and cargo. Lots of steep grades going through BC
