Yes you pay more for a diesel but I have always maintained when buying something, "You only cry once".
Nope! Not crying at all! This truck has been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. 374,000 K of virtually trouble free service. One glow plug, an injector pump at 300K and a recent front end repair. That's all I've done to it aside from maintenance and tires, batteries and such.
It doesn't owe me a dime. It's been my work truck since day one and seen some pretty rough work over the years. It's always been up for the task. 20 thousand dollar hit to the front a few years back and it still kept going. Drove it away from that mess.
If I had to do it over again, I'd buy the same truck, no hesitation.
I may be stuck in a place I didn't want to be, but I'm smiling and very much enjoying the salvage of my holiday.
Lifes too short to sweat the petty things.
Life is good. No tears. :)
