We have wooden blinds that do not secure on the bottom. We keep them in the up position when towing but then the sun warms the interior and people can see in, sort of. The windows are dark tinted. That seems better than having them smack back and forth. Anyone do something different that works better? :@

If you are towing, Why would it matter if people can see in? I would keep them up as well.Or you can get the hold downs and install them.

The only time my shades are down is at night. The rest of the time, the shades are up.

What are you doing in there that you don't want people looking in? :BOn our Southwind I cover the Windows with bubble foil insulation if I don't want the sun heating the interior, I use it while moving or parked. It's light and easy to store. I have one cut to size for every window.

My blinds have hold downs but we keep them up when we tow so the do not bounce as much.

If someone want to drive along side and look in, they will get a lovely view of the fine wood craftmanship and luxery appliances that fill every other TT that is pounded out as fast as possible in Indiana.

You can purchase something called a "Hold Down Bracket" for your blinds. They come in different sizes depending one the size of blinds that you have. You can normally get them from Lowe's or Home Depot for a couple of bucks for a set. That will stop your blinds from swinging as you travel. When I'm traveling during the summer I'll keep the blinds down to keep the heat out. During the winter I'll leave them open to let the heat in.

Keeping them down will definitely keep the interior cooler in hot weather.

Mine are closed during travel and usually closed while camping.... Then again I'm not a big fan of people and enjoy my privacy.

This. And some stiff cardboard or Reflectix will stay wedged in the windows and prevent heating from the sun.

Ours are connected and my wife closes them mostly when we travel but it ours were not tied down we would keep them pulled up to avoid the movement.

We have the hold downs, but I travel with the blinds up, and drop them when we park for the day (if needed).
