Blowing out water lines mistake ??

Here's antoher tip. Get a pice of 1/2 inch clear tubing and keep it rolled up. When you drain your hot water tank insert in the drain plug hole and start a siphon. This will help get any sediment out of the tank as well get the water below the drain hole.
If you are putting in the pink stuff don't forget to open and close quickly the valves to and from the water heater to get traped water in the valve out to prevent the vales from freezing and cracking.
