Some folks may not use their fresh water tank for drinking from. I know we don't. It is only for washing dishes and taking showers haha...
I have to have my good ole bean coffee brewed everywhere we go so I have learned the best taste bottled water for us. So having to carry this brand of bottled water we sort of just started drinking this water as well.. Works out great as we have to have this bottled water anyway for the coffee making effort.
We use the blow out method here for the water lines using our 12VDC compressor. I will drain everything at the low point and blow out the lines a couple of times using an air adapter at the city fill port. Then I will follow up by pouring RV antifreeze down the P-TRAPS.
We of course don't have the extreme winters here in VA so this works out great for us...
This is also our best way to do some of our off-road camping late in the year and we can purge the lines rather quick doing this method if we run into a sudden cold snap over night. Can do the air purge in around 5 mins and does not require alot of RV antifreeze to have on hand at any given time.
