I live in Minnesota too and have never put RV antifreeze in the fresh water lines. Have never had a problem even down to 30 below. Open the drains to the fresh water tank and all the lines (manufacturers put them at the low spot), open all the faucets to let air in and open the valve on the shower nozzle and lay it in the tub. Pull the anode out of the water heater. After it all runs dry, cycle the pump on to get air into it and step on the water fill pedal of the toilet to get some air in. Then pour RV antifreeze in all the drains and do enough that the drained grey water tank gets some. Also, pour some down the toilet hole for what ever liquid in the black water tank gets some. It's not necessary to get every last drop of water out just make sure there is air to expand into. We use the RV in the winter time too. Bring milk jugs of water for cooking and coffee and flush the toilet with RV antifreeze. Been RVing for 30 years and never had a freeze problem. Because of our freeze thaw cycle, I go thru this several times a year.
