Blue Ox Sway Pro

I'm looking at upgrading my standard WD with friction bar. My trailer is 30 foot with a loaded weight of about 9,200 lbs and a hitch weight of about 1,100 lbs. After trying to find as much information as I can, I am thinking of going with the Blue Ox Sway Pro. I have also been considering the equal-I-zer, but it seems as if the Blue Ox is a little better. Does anyone have any issues with the Blue Ox. Any pros/cons of the two. I also looked at the Propride, but I don't necessarily see that it is that much better to justify the additional money.

thank you in advance for any comments you may have.

  • I also have the Blue Ox Swaypro and can only build on the positive comments. I can also tell you that their customer service is first rate. For example, it appears that my dealer installed one that is for a much heavier trailer than I have and Blue Ox customer service will swap out my bars for the proper ones under warranty.
  • My opinion from years of reading is that owners of the Eq 4pt, Reese Strait Line/Dual Cam, and Blueox Swaypro have about the same level of satisfaction which is very high. The Propride, Hensley, and Pullrite all have even higher satisfaction rates.
  • I love my blue OX pro... Well worth the price.

Simple to setup. Simple to disconnect. No issues backing up. I have had both systems and I like the blue OX 100% better.
  • Been using my old style Blue Ox for 7 years on 2 trailers. Very happy with it.
  • I use a Blue Ox on my trailer and it is great. The head is pre adjusted so there is no dealing with the tilt, it is really quiet, and it can stay connected when backing up. I tow a 32' travel trailer, and it keeps it in line and there is no sway. I would highly recommend the Blue Ox.
  • We have used Equal-I-Zer hitches on all 3 of our TTs and never had any problem with them. Sorry I do not have any input for you about Blue Ox Sway Pro.
