Bottom of slideout

Question

We are newbies to the RV life. We bought a  21 foot 2016 Rockwood 2104s in new condition. I was wondering if the bottom of the slideout is designed to not get the small strip of carpet in front of the dinette dirty when it is retracted? If not, what does anyone recommend to keep it from getting dirty?

Are you referring to a throw rug that you installed?
All the slides that we've had over the years, the carpet slides with the slide.....never heard of the exterior bottom of slide making contact with the interior of trailer.

Perhaps take a look while operating the slide and report back.
