Bought a dually for a daily driver

And like 12V said, it’s pretty tough to be less out of pocket with 2 vehicles compared to 1, within reason. Yes it’s saving money.
I penciled it out a lot of times because the wife drove a big truck as a DD and it was our only personal vehicle. But pretty much unless you get a screamin deal on an old car that doesn’t nickel and dime you AND are ok with driving a 199x pos Honda or something, you won’t support 2 vehicles for less than the cost of 1.
Have one of “those guys” for a buddy. Just got a job again after being laid off for who knows how long. Said he needs to “get rid” of his commuter car , owes $13k on a 2013 Hayundayi, so he’s upside down on that thing. But since he got a job 2 weeks ago he just went n bought a newer Powerstroke (doesnt tow anything and has to park a car in the street because the driveway is too small and his garage is full of sht). BUT he’s keeping the Hyundai because the “truck is too expensive to commute in.”
Wants me to help him pick out a lift and wheels though for the truck. Yes he’s a financial tool bag!
