Brain challenge

Has anyone heard or know if Ford ever offered a "Elite" pkg in '12? Buddy of mine swears that's what it says on side of a truck at his friends house.I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it may not exist. Says it only has like 3 springs in rear, f/r heated/cooled seats.
  • Frank your truck has heated and cooled rear seats?

The Outdoorsman I had ordered had heated/cooled frt seats and heated rear if you ordered the comfort group package.

The Laramie trim has standard Rear heated seats, but only with the bucket seat package.

Some dealers will add a graphics package to vehicles on their lots to help sell older stock. Maybe that was what your buddy was seeing?

    Don
  • from my research prior to my recent ford purchase, the platinum superduty is the only one with a heated rear seat unless there is some hidden ford option. Im not doubting it is available on the kind ranch, but I know it isn't on the lariat. Also non of them have a cooled rear seat, the platinum is the only one with a heated steering wheel.

Now im not saying that a dealer couldn't have added a rear seat heater, but pretty hard to add cooling as it involves duct work.

Actually heated/cooled seats can be self-contained. No duct work needed.

I believe this is the technology GM used for their heated/cooled seats.
