You mention 110 volts so I am not sure if I understand correctly. But it sounds like you purchased the plug and play pigtail for the controller you purchased. What bikendan is saying is if you do not have the universal pigtail that should have come with the truck you may not have that harness/plug under the dash for some reason.
It's a possibility that if you do not have the tow package or whatever they call the option they may have not run what you need in the wire harness.
