Don't get hung up on the F450 designation. Ram and GM could segment out this category the same way. The F450 belongs in the analysis. You cannot use the Chevy/GMC should be combined and disagree with the F450 in the same argument.

19.5" tires and wheels on GM and RAM 4500's? Fords F450 rear axle is much larger. Bottom line they de rated the 450 so people could afford to license and insure a 450. If it was 14,001# GVWR not many would be sold.

They could call it a F350 max tow or something. The reality is it is categorized correctly for the use it is sold.
