IF you go to the trouble of taking window frame out, then take it to a glass shop WHY would you have them install plexiglass or anything else :H
Have them replace the glass.
In other words....you do not need to buy a complete new window.
Just have existing one fix by installing new glass
Something current owner should have done as condition of purchase.
X2!
Well said.
In fact the current owners INSURANCE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE PAID FOR THE REPAIR.
if they don't have RV insurance and the RV is on their property their HOME OWNERS INSURANCE SHOULD COVER THE REPAIR..
Fix it correctly now instead of fixing the water damage later (much cheaper now).
Make sure you ask to have the glass TEMPERED (now days folks refer to tempered glass as "safety glass").. Tempered glass is far more stronger than plain plate glass AND has the benefit of when breaking it breaks into thousand of less hazardous pieces instead of large sharp pieces..
The glass company will cut to fit THEN temper the glass, they may need to send out for the tempering so you can simply board up the opening where the window was until the window is ready to install.
