We sure do not and never had any issues with our Generac 40G (3400 watt) propane built in generator in our purchased new 1997 Lance Legend TC which has the original OEM board still in it yet today, 23 years later. Just push the rocker switch on the rangehood and it starts right up always and has never been/needed repair yet.
It's fairly quiet as OEM but I had added/lined the generator compartment with 3/4" high demsity urethane foam and it made the generator much quieter and virtually no heat transmits to the inside of the TC. Really muffles the generator noise created in/from the compartment. Can't hardly hear it running just 25 feet away. Much quieter inside the TC too. I had also added a right angle elbow on the end of the generator exhaust outlet in the rear pointing downward and thus have zero fumes entering the TC at all. Can swing the elbow towards the left or right too so the prevailing wind blows the fumes totally away.
The 990 Lance Legend has 60 lbs of PP in 2 - 30lb OEM tanks and the Generac doesn't consume that much PP as the draw having up to 3400 watts doesn't cause the generator to increase its RPM's much at all which helps with the sound created and high RPM required excessive PP use.
We use the generator often as wanted or required but for most no hookup average AC we'll use our 1500 watt inverter with power amps from the 3 group 31 deep cycle batteries (1 in the TC battery compartment and 2 in the side of the truck's bed connected to the dual alternators on the diesel engine and to the TC battery with #2 ga copper fine strand welder cable fused at both ends and also has a high capacity on/off slide switch). 110 AC power anywhere any time 1500 watts or 3400 watts totally silent or with very little noise created! What's not to like about that? Solar doesn't work for cra-p here in the Midwest as there's large trees with leaves everywhere and in nearly every CG site too. We love our trees!!! Nothing like is the norm in the mostly barren western states areas or trees with the skinny pine needles that just filter the sun's rays.
