Built in quiet inverter generator for truck camper?

Fill the generator space with a stack of lithium batteries and inverter for some true quiet power.
Cover the roof with solar and you will rarely need the portable.

That's what truck & camper connecting windows are for.
Make sealing boot and you are set without any additional cost.

K, that 20 year old Generac sounds like an ongoing project that I do not care to enjoy during the aforementioned environmental conditions, but thank you for the offer.

I have a Torklift lock and load generator carrier. It's on my front hitch. It locks to the hitch and locks the generator in place and you can run the generator in the tray without taking it out. just plug in the shore cord and fire it up

One problem with the small 2,000W-2,500W inverter generators is that they run hot under that plastic housing. Placing it inside of a compartment is going to make it run hotter. Taking the plastic sides off will make it louder.

Also, they are not designed to be bolted down. Driving with one running will likely cause the oil to "slosh" and it will kick off because it thinks it is low on oil. For TT or Class A, they are probably too small.

I do and rarely need my generator...solar does the recharging.

I had a divorced generator with my last camper and didn't want that setup again.

Cummins calls this a "QG", quiet generator and with the compartment being fully enclosed except of the vent in the door and a resonator on the exhaust its pretty darn quiet.




This was this past November. My friend has a Boliy generator that is also a quiet generator.

Even with my exhaust pointing in his direction, with his door wide open he could not hear my generator running when he was inside his TT.

I'm sure there are other generators that are quieter than mine but when it is running what little noise there is it doesn't bother me a bit.



I also like just pushing a little button to fire it up or turn it off when ever I want.

Simplicity and convenience at its best. :B

I either camp by myself or with friends and never around other people so my generator never bothers other campers.

I never have had a single problem with any of my Onan built ins that were in my other campers when I bought them. Just don't want to pay that much for a noisy one. When I sell the camper, I would lose $ on the generator. I paid less for my Lance with Generator already there that what a new Onan costs.

It was Walmart in Atlanta suburbs, where I got woken up at 5 AM by tow truck driver, who gave me an offer of leaving in 5 minutes or having club lock on my wheel.
Anyway, I have Honda 3000 mounted on my front hitch. It takes me about 30 seconds to pull camper cord, plug it in and start the Honda (who I never use with electric starter, just pull cord).
That is smaller job, than extending rear jacks for stabilization and I am not desperate to seek propane supplier following morning.
We do have some topics how TC owners build-in Hondas into the camper.
I read them carefully and decided to stay with front hitch placement.
Talking again about my Generac, I think it was 1 of the best in the industry as it come with inverter technology.
Still so far every factory build-in generator was proving itself to be a constant project.
