Like I stated at the beginning when I started the topic, my big fear (besides getting senile..lol) is getting up in the middle of the night (to go potty) and swinging my feet over the side and winding up on the floor
We have an east-west bunk and I sleep on the inside closest to the living area. My wife always gets the other side. I have to have an east-west arrangement because I sleep on a CPAP so I have to be close to the inside edge, where I plug the machine in.
Trouble with getting old, going to the potty in the middle of the night, compounded by a CPAP machine, a ladder is a must. Had some close calls last summer so the ladder is a must this year.
Not getting any younger and certasinly not as nimble as I once was, though I still kid myself about that.
Sure like the home brew wooden ladder with the flat (bare feet friendly) steps.
Not sure why camper builder don't make bunk access easier.
My previous camper (Lance) was the same way, not quite as bad as the Palomino, but close. Guess I didn't notice it that much, I was younger then.
