Just fine actually. I was boondocking this last weekend up north and used it to get into and out of the bunk numerous times. When we aren't in bed sleeping, we remove the ladder and lay it on the bed. It has never slipped and is very stable footing.
I'm happy, the wife is happy too. Good investment.
Only thing I've had happen is one of the rubber covered step covers came off but I slipped it right back on, it's moulded rubber and wraps around the aluminum step tread.
I have it down where I can come down facing forward so I don't have to turn around and disturb the wife for those middle of the night potty trips...lol
