Been here done that. I carry a heavy duty set of jumpers that are 15 feet long. They easily reach all the way to the truck batts to the camper batts. If one set of batts fails I'm covered. Your genny,would,could,should provide the power to start any truck or vise versa. I had a batt fail and could not get the genny to start after a very cold night...truck started it right up. Be prepared for this in the field and get the right equipment (cables that reach)..it will save you not to say have piece of mind when it goes wrong you can bail yourself out. Get those old batts changed out and don't forget that if you kill them once, they really don't come back as good.
